Lightning Pics!

photographs by Charles Thomas

These pics were taken out of my kitchen window. I set up a small tripod in a window that faced away from the rain and toward the lightning (luck). I aimed a 20mm lens (with focus at infin.) at a part of the sky, keeping the neighbors houses outa' the pic. I loaded the camera with Fuji Superia 200 ASA. I set the F-stop at 11 and held the shutter open for 20 to 30 seconds per shot (more luck). This should work with 100 ASA film and F-5.6 or 8, but I haven't tried it yet. It'll save you some cash to just have the neg's processed and check the frames for a good strike. Then just have the good frames printed. GOOD LUCK!
