- Billy Sheehan and Steve Vai when they were with "Diamond David Lee Roth" during the "Crazy From The Heat" tour at Detroit's Cobo Arena. We basically stalked them after the show and managed to meet up with them outside the Hotel Pontchartrain in Detroit. They were unusually cool to us but I was crushed that I wasn't able to meet Dave.
- Guitar virtuoso John Lowery , fomerly "John5", the guitarist of, yes kiddies, MarilynManson. He was also the featured guitarist on the 1998 David Lee Roth Band release. We dated for a summer when he was jammin' with my drummer friend Jason Hartless.
- Kirk Hammett of Metallica along with Rick Steier and Johnny B. Frank of Kingdom Come at the Pontiac Silverdome for the "Monsters of Rock" tour. After they spotted myself and a friend walking nearby, the guys had a security guard ask us to go backstage. Much to our amazement, they were total gentleman, especially Kirk. We all chatted for a very long time and missed most of the other bands performances....oh well!
- Steve Mann & Jeff Brown of Sweet at an intimate gig at the Ritz Nightclub in Roseville, MI
- Tracii Guns of L.A. Guns on tour with AC/DC at The Palace of Auburn Hills Michigan.
- Richie Scarlet currently the guitarist for Mountian and former guitarist of Frehley's Comet and Sebastian Bach's band. We got to hang while he was in town jammin' at, once again, my drummer friend Jason's house.
- Ace Frehley the legendary guitarist of KISS. With the help of Richie Scarlett, we were able to meet and chat with Ace chat after his intimate show with Frehley's Comet at Harpo's Concert Club in Detroit. This was just prior to his rejoining KISS for their historic 1996 reunion.
- John Entwistle , THE virtuosic WHO bassist, at an intimate "solo" gig at The Palladium (formerly The Ritz Nightclub) in Roseville Michigan.
- Sebastian Bach , formerly of Skid Row, Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden, and Rudy Sarzo formerly of Ozzy Osbourne/Quiet Riot all performing together as "The Band Of Doom" for "Thunderfest" at the Troy Marriott Hotel. They were all super cool especially Nicko who took the time to talk awhile about Maiden! Sebastian told me I was hot...ahhhhhhhh!!!
- Tommy Lee & Nikki Sixx
of Motley Crue at The Palace of Auburn Hills Michigan. Nikki Sixx did not bother to stick around long enough for ME to get his autograph, but he DID mange to sign for all the guy fans hanging around. So much for my years of devoted fandom ;-(
- David Lee Roth at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Yes folks, I did it! My life is complete now. I even got a kiss....ON THE LIPS!!! Too bad I was out of my body at the time...
- Aretha Franklin. I got a chance to do a quick interview with the elusive "Queen of Soul" at Cobo Center in her home town of Detroit. The sista'hood vibes made it feel like I had known her for years!
- Legendary Mountain drummer Corky Laing, the man who FIRST made cowbell cool in the song Mississippi Queen. He was in town working with my friend's drum prodigy son Jason Hartless Junior. We all went to a small club, had some cold ones and listened to Corky give us the inside scoop on many legendary rock stars. Amazing! Then...he hit the stage for a killer improvisational jam with local guitarist Jimmy McCarty of the Rockets. We went to the Mountain show the next night, compliments of Corky, at DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston Michigan (formerly Pine Knob).
*** For those of you who like to make UNFAIR inferences, I met all the musicians listed above on a non-sexual basis...thank you ***
