Canada Customs Issue Patches

These are the patches that have been issued for us to wear on our uniforms. Some of these patches have variations such as stitch colour due to different manufacturers and or different factory runs. I have chosen not to include them because I only have so much space. That and to tell the truth I am not aware of all the different variations.

This is the current style patch worn by Customs Inspectors. It was introduced in November of 1999 when we changed names to the "Canada Customs and Revenue Agency". We are awaiting a new patch as our name has changed yet again to "Canada Border Services Agency"
This is the current style patch worn by Customs Inspectors on their dress uniforms. It was also introduced in Nov of 1999.
This is the woven version of the patch officers wore from 1989 to 1999. There were some variations of this patch, mainly height and colour as you can see here.

This is the dress uniform version of the patch officers wore from 1989 to 1999. Though there has been some debate as to whether a french version of this patch existed you can see here that it does.
This is the  patch worn from 1987 to 1989. It is commonly referred to as the "half flag" patch. Again there were variations of this patch of both size and colour.

This is the  patch worn on our Raincoats. Until recently no one knew there was a french version until it was discovered in the maritimes by a nice officer who I'm sure will give it to me in time. That is as soon as I save up enough for him to retire on. Goes without saying that I NEED the french verison of this patch
This is the patch worn from 1970 to 1987. There are 2 variations of this patch one has a dark blue background and one has a black background. I am not aware of a french version of this patch.

This is the patch worn in the late 60's. It is considered by many Officers to be the best patch we ever wore. It is often referred to as the "Maple Leaf Patch". If you have a spare one of these I NEED it for my collection. Again I am not aware of a French version of this patch
This patch was worn in the mid 60's. It is felt with Gold Mylar thread. Again I am not aware of a French version of this patch
Thes are the oldest patches that were worn. They were worn in the early 60's. If you have a spare of the one on the bottom I NEED it for my collection.Again I am not aware of a French version of this patch
