| 2001 A.D The turn of the century.
America leads the way into the future with developments
in technology. |

| 2002 A.D The United Nations, known
to settle disputes between warring nations begins to
raise the life styles of third world nations. It is
during this time that most countries are permitted to
join. |
| |
 2003 A.D After many
treaties and negotiations the United Nations bring most
of the world together. With the increasement of military
power, the United Nations begin to take over the
remaining countries with military force. The result is
small battles and assassinations. |
| |
| 2004 A.D The rising tensions between
the free countries and the United Nations excalates.
During the mid-year the U.N develop a devestating new
weapon never before seen; A mobile suit. With these early
models they easily claim the rest of the world and became
the Earth Sphere Alliance. This marks the end of the A.D
era and begins the Universal Era. |

| 0001 U.E The Earth Sphere Alliance
leads the world into a new golden age, despite the manner
in how the attained power. With no real reason to
retialiate, the world is at peace as sceintific
orginizations begin to take shape, most noticably the
IMSRD which pioneers into the new age. |

| 0002 U.E Plans for a fifty year
terra forming project are approved by the alliance. At
the same time small corporations begin to grow and become
more influencal. Colonist and supplies are sent to nearby
military space colonies to begin. |

 0003
U.E Taxes are raised for the new terra forming
project. People are angered but hold no voice in the
government, therefore causing great emotional resentment
towards the Earth Sphere Alliance. Rebel orginizations
appear and stand up agianst the earth government, however,
the rebels pose no match at this point to stand up
agianst the mobile suits produced by thier enemies. |

| 0004 U.E In an act of desperation
the rebel groups coordinate a planned attack and capture
a mobile suit factory. With the enemy supplies they
constructed a small army known as the League of free
countries. An all out war insues between the League and
the alliance. The corporations obtian the blue prints for
mobile suits and begin to produce thier own, selling them
out to both sides of the war. |

0005 U.E  The war continues and it is during this
year that the I.M.S.R.D establishes itself not only as a
sceince academy but a military academy as well. Training
thier students in the art of warfare, thier slowly become
recognized as being better in combat than both the League
and Alliance and are dubbed, "Elites" |
| |
| 0053 U.E The war finally ends after
fifty years as the Earth Sphere Alliance crushes the
league in a desicive move which later is refered to as
"The battle of Delta." The story of the
legendary pilot Umi Midnight originates from this battle. |
| |
| 0054 U.E With full power returned to
the central government, attention is turned to rebuild
what was lost during the war. With the passing of the
Reno law the corporations lose their power. |
| |
| 0058 U.E Four years pass in reletive
peace. The earth government extends their reach into
space, building new colonies and strengthening thier hold
on the planet. Many leave earth to live in the colonies. |
| |
0060 U.E  The remnents of the former league begin
operation rising sun; A fleet of new model mobile suits
appear and commence war once agian. Though few in number,
they are far more powerful than the standard suits used
by the earth government. Now that the tides had changed
the earth governemnt sought any way possible to win and
in the end turned to the corporations for help. The
corporations saw this as a means of heightening thier
power and agreed, signing a treaty that would protect
thier rights after the new war had ended. |

| 0069 U.E The war rages on.
Corporations pump out new models rapidly and the Elites
are hired out by both sides of opposition. As new types
of weapons were developed, gaining strength with each new
model, the earth's surface begun to die. |
| |
| 0120 U.E The people had migrated
underground several years ago due to the war which still
raged on both on the surface and within the underground
complex'. |
| |
| 0130 U.E The "Deep Earth"
war ends as the alliance demolishes the rebels once and
for all. After many years of bitter fighting had almost
died out. Now all people turned thier attention to making
the surface relivable agian. |
| |
| 0131 U.E The plans for the original
mars terra forming project are re-discovered. Those who
feel they cannot live on the earth leave to live either
in the space colonies or the red planet. It is discovered
that the descandents of those who had gone to mars many
years ago had formed their own government. The Mars
Unified Nation was relunctant at first but eventually
allowed the earth people to live on thier lands. |

| 0132 U.E The rest of the next decade
pass peacefully as the major powers lick thier wounds and
regain thier strength. the corporations start offices and
companies on mars and the colonies, establishing small
ground in the new market. |
| |
| 0140 U.E The earth is once agian
blooming with life. The neighboring governments of earth
and mars are on good terms and it seems that a total
military disbandment is on the horizon. The Galactic
police were formed to keep law and order between the
spreading colonies. |
| |
 0142 U.E
Seeing this time of peace as a perfect chance to attack,
a new orginization formed by the new generation began to
attack ships travelling between the colonies. Known as
the Death Corps., the group becomes a menace to earth but
strangely enough does not pass the eyes of mars. After a
few minor skirmishes and careful spy work it is uncovered
that Mars Unified Nation had a secret agreement with the
Death corps and provided them custom mobile suits. |

0143 U.E A hearing is called between
to the two nations. Each most respected diplomats arrived.
Acting as earths diplmot was representitive Gruna and as
mars diplomat was president Delar. Fearing that a joint
effort would occure the Death Corps arranged for the
assassination of president Delar and rep. Gruna. In the
attempt the Death corps suceeded in killing earths
diplomat but not mars president. This had been a failure,
but somehow earth sources mistakenly accused Mars of the
assassination. On February 1st war was once agian
declared. This time the enemies were the two planets, the
battlefieild; All of the known space. |
