Very little is
known about the leader of the Death Corps beyond
his past. Inducted into the I.M.S.R.D. at an
early age, he quickly took to mech combat,
especially melee. He learned quickly and achieved
some of the institutes highest scores. He
soon became known for his high kill ratio and
long record of misconduct. A loose cannon by
nature, he usually seemed fairly friendly,
reckless, and always ready for a challenge.
Toward the end of his time at the I.M.S.R.D., in
the year 140 U.E., he had become more aloof and
distant, avoiding classmates who had once been
close friends. He spent much more time working on
his mech, which will be discussed in more detail
later. He also had a love for bladed weapons that
bordered obsession, and soon became evident
through his mechs many blades.
Within the same week of the formation of the
Galactic Police, an accident occurred aboard a
ship that had been transporting Dyson and his
comrades to their next mission. According to
reports, a reactor error occurred aboard the ship.
It began to go critical and Dyson reacted quickly
moving all aboard to the escape shuttles or their
mechs. According to some of his classmates, of
the I.M.S.R.D. Elites aboard, Dyson
and a close friend of his were the last aboard.
Dyson launched from the ship moments before his
comrade... and the ships explosion. Much of
the crew was killed in the blast, and Dyson was
heard shouting in rage as he watched the wreckage
of his friends mech hurtle into space. At this
time he flew off away from his comrades. He has
not been seen by any member of the I.M.S.R.D.
since. It also remains a refuted subject as to
whether the reactor error was accident or
sabotage...
He re-emerged in the year 142 U.E., bearing his
powerful, completed mecha, the Shruiken4, and
heading the powerful, and well-organized criminal
organization now known as the Death Corps. The
group quickly began to wreck havoc across the
galaxy, attacking, raiding, and stealing from
vessels and colonies. To avoid a damaged economy,
among other personal interests, the Mars Unified
Nation signed a treaty with the Death Corps and
provided them with powerful mecha. In the end
this caused further trouble for Mars as Earth
discovered the contract.
In the year 143 U.E., the Mars Unified Nation and
the Earth Sphere Alliance called for a hearing.
Fearing that not only may this foul up their
attempts, but cause a collaboration on the two
nations parts to get rid of them, Dyson ordered
an assassinations of Earth representative Gruna
and Mars president Delar. However, the Death
Corps assassin assigned to the job only partially
completed his mission, and president Delar lived.
But in the end it proved to work out better then
Dyson could have ever hoped: Earth blamed mars
for the incident. On February 1st of that year,
war broke out between the two nations. And the
Death Corps began to put their own plans into
action, using the war to conceal their attacks
upon Earth and Mars transports. Soon they would
be ready... and then the war would begin in
earnest.
The Shuriken4 is truly a revolutionary new mech
made personally by Dyson himself, showing his
great--if demented--genius in weapons technology.
The ship has a powerful new reactor that gives it
great power, and engines that give it unsurpassed
speed. With smaller jets arranged strategically
on various parts of its body, it can
maneuver beautifully, reversing direction within
a second and pulling daredevil maneuvers that
only those with nothing to lose--or the insane--would
ever attempt, especially in the atmosphere. Its
surface is literally bristling with blades, from
wrists, to knuckles, to knees, to wings. Its
armor is made from a powerful steel, but
manufactured in such a way, that despite its
light appearance, offers unusually strong
protection. For primary weapons, it carries a
standard 105mm gun pod, a laser rifle, a dual
barrel beam cannon, a missile pod on each
shoulder containing 10 HM (High Maneuver)
missiles in each, two beam sabers (may be joined
together at the butt), a twin beam spear
affectionately called the Shield Breaker--and
with good reason-- and twin double barrel vulcan
machine cannons mounted on its head. It
also has a shield mounted on the backside of its
left arm in the traditional style. It can change
into two other modes--guardian, which is a sort
of in-between mode used for quick changes in
direction or velocity, and jet mode--which it may
change to. It also has standard sensor jamming
for covert uses.
Dyson himself usually carries an immaculately
crafted longsword he calls Isileth or Widowmaker,
and a beautiful spear adorned with a dragon,
called Ykraith. He usually has a beam saber
hidden in each boot, and may have any number of
bladed weapons hidden on his person at any time... He also often
carries a pair of Desert Eagle .45 modified semi-auto
magnums.
Both him and his mech are a severe threat, and
completely unpredictable. And all the more
dangerous to his enemies...
