Role-playing is by posting a few paragraphs with dailouge to create part of a continueing story. Ideally it should be longer than two paragraphs and should be clear to understand and easy to read.
Yes, but it is strongly urged that you don't. This is an original rpg and mimick characters will greatly water down it down.
Yes, you may, if not already in use.
Don't ask, I won't listen. If your dedicated, I'll decide if you become a founder or not.
Your suit works, however your speed and Mobility are cut in half. Also any weapons besides plain steel, heat and beam ones dont work.
All suits come with conventional weapon capability and general flight capability.
When obtaining a mobile suit, either contructing a custom or purchasing from your faction, you have to do a little decision making. For suits purchased by the companies/factions thier is a starting stat number which must be divided up to four different ratings however you choose. The ratings are;
Offense - Rates how strong your suit is.
Defense - Rates how strong your suit armour is.
Speed - Rates how fast your suit can go.
Mobility - Rates the overall mobility, taking into account of
agility, dexteritiy, and other small factors.
The Maximum number per stat is 12, but it can exceed this number if thier is a special. (Specials are added after base stats have been divied up to your liking)
The mobile suit stats are a way to determine the strengths and weakness of your suit. It is also a way to accuratly depict a battle with another player. The only time it really will determine the outcome in battle is when fighting an NPC, or those not controlled by anybody.
An example;
pilot 1 has an offense of 8, a defense of 9, speed of 10, and a
mobility of 3. Pilot 2 has an offense rating of 5, a defense of 7,
a speed of 8, and a mobility of 10. What would this mean in
retrospective?
Pilot one, though obviously the strongest and with better armour, can't match up to pilot 2's mobility, which could pose a big problem. Pilot 2, fast and highly agile, can effectively dodge and evade pilot 1 devestating attacks and play a tagging game, gradually wearing down his good armour. Or, in a reverse situation, pilot one can manage to connect with his attacks then it's over for pilot 2.
In most cases npc's aren't much of a worry. the only time is when fighting an NPC created by the founder or by appointed game masters (GM). Npc's are just fodder for armies, the soldiers under the commands of a player, used to create attacks, defend from such attacks, and/or anything else.
It is strongly urged for you to join a faction or corporation. not only will this help you financially, but you can rely on back up units where as independents and Elites must rely solely on thier own. When Purchasing a suit, you must purchase from the faction or corporation you join.
For Independents and "Elites", members of the I.M.S.R.D, they have the hard task of figuring out how to create a custom suit. The first question is usually, "Where do I start?" Here are the rules of creating your first time mobile suit. These are pre-set basics; Type states each pre-set title, cost is the amount of money needed to constuct such a model, stat is the basic stats, and IBR is the integrated beam rating, which determines how many integrated beam weapons the suit can use.
| Type: | Cost: |
Stat: |
IBR: | |||
| Model 1 | $2,000 | 20 | 1 | |||
| Model 2 | $4,000 | 22 | 2 | |||
| Model 3 | $6,000 | 24 | 3 | |||
| Model 4 | $8,000 | 26 | 3 | |||
| Model 5 | $10,000 | 28 | 4 | |||
| Model 6 | $12,000 | 30 | 4 | |||
| Model 7 | $14,000 | 32 | 5 | |||
| Model 8 | $16,000 | 34 | 5 |
The next are relatively easy. Finding a picture, purchasing armaments from the shop, and stating what specials you wish to include. Post the information and I'll review it and make any changes/corrections needed.
No, you don't have to purchase a suit at all. You can be the pilot of a space ship, an important leader who issues commands, a researcher or ceo of a corporation, and/or anything else you can possibly think of.. The tradeoff is that in most cases you will have to rely on others to defend yourself, or in the case of spaceships/bases and other areas that offer weapons, the weapons themselves. Remember, mobile suits are fine and dandy but people can't live in them.
That's simple; If your trying to get the attention of a specific player you have to methods of making contact; First, post a message in the ooc board or as an alternative, somewhere in your RP post include that characters name. Examples;
OOC BOARD:
Excuse me, sean.
RP BOARD:
Attack!! (Sean Read)
Corporation announcements is an important forum you should check out once or twice a week. It is here that new products for mobile suits will be posted as they are invented by a particular corporation. It is also a good place to find out if any corporation is endanger of bankrupting and which ones are monopolizing.
This is a place for appointed Game masters and Up-daters can converse privately without having others see thier plans. It is password protected to keep it private.
Corporation and Faction leaders alike can request the aid of a mercanaries willing to undertake dangerous missions for payment. Originally intended for the usage of the "Elites" only, due to popular demand it has been opened to all Independents. however, if a missions states, "We request an Elite", only an elite may take it.
This forum has to be the hardest to understand, in my opinion. It's an IC email box, where messages will be sent from Factions/Corporations, other members, and even NPC's. The most general usage is gathering information on missions, but it can also be used to communicate to another member who far from yours. An example: Gamma Decause just found for a planned ambush on the Death Corps. Isamu has already left, so he sends him a message via the email function, making it perfectly legal for Isamu to have knoweledge of the attack.
Yes, you may have up to three non-npc characters owned exclusively to you if you can handle it. If you mistreat your characters or share information between them you will be alerted to end one or two of your characters.
More Questions will be added upon me receiving the questions.
