  • 1955:   A&M 20, Rice 12 -- trailing Rice 12-0 with 4:12 in the fourth quarter, the Aggies score three times in the next 2:46

  • 1958:   A&M 34, Baylor 33 -- trailing Baylor 33-7 with 1:00 to play in the third quarter, the Aggies score four times in the next 13:22

  • Sun Bowl, 1976:   A&M 37, Florida 14 -- Barefooted kicker Tony Franklin kicks bowl-record 62-yard field goal

  • 1979:   A&M 27, Penn State 14 -- After an 0-2 start, Aggies break Penn State's 12-game home winning streak; Curtis Dickey gains 184 yards on 31 carries

Requiem to the 1998 Season

Okay, so the Aggies were not #1 in the country at the end of the season. But then, they were not expected to be in the top 10 or the Big 12 champs, either.

Contrary to expectations, the Aggies went to the Sugar Bowl. Among their other accomplishments:
