A member of Girls Scouts of Peninsula Waters, we are located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, just twenty miles south of the international bridge at Sault Ste Marie. To find us, just follow highway I-75 all the way to the top of our state and there we are. Our troop enjoys travelling, theater, a little camping, and sometimes even a little badgework.

Members of our troop attend Rudyard High School and Middle School. If you are in grades six thru twelve and would like to learn more about Girl Scouts please email our troop leader. Our Troop Meets the First and Third Sundays of each month during the school year at the Kinross Recreation Center. We hope to see you soon.
Three of our members have completed their Cadette Silver Awards.

Rachel earned her award by working with a Brownie troop for three months. She planned activities with the girls, assisted in earning Try-Its and coordinated the troop awards ceremony.

Felicia earned her award by planning a Try-It workshop for area Brownies. 32 girls earned spent an afternoon working on two try-its.

Both Rachel and Felicia are currently Senior Girl Scouts and are preparing to start the Gold Award projects next year.

Breena has completed her silver award on May 1, 1999. Her project was to present a workshop on tye-dyeing to Junior GS at an area event. Breena spent many hours researching the history of dyeing and practicing methods to find the clearest prints possible. Breena will be bridging to Senior Girl Scouts this year.
OOur Cadettes, Breena and Chelsea have completed both the challenge and leadership pin,and Jessie is working on the Cadette Challenge and Leadership pin. Chelsea and Jessie are still in the planning stage and haven't selected a project just yet.

Our area, or service unit, is made up of girls and adults living and/or attending school in Chippewa County located in Michigan's most north-east corner. Our area currently has 185 girls and 52 adults participating in 22 troops. We have girls in all age levels from Daisys to Seniors. Area events are held every other month to encourage the girls to meet their sister Girl Scouts and become more active in their communties.
