I have this parts car with a good engine, trans, air conditioner, power window doors, some body parts. The rest (hood, fenders, floor, etc.) are rusty, and the top and rear bumper are gone. The wheels are from a Graduate - the original alloys are gone. he engine cannot be started now because I took the sensors from the flywheel, but I drove it 30 miles to its "final resting place". I just broke the timing belt and bent the valves on my beautiful 164L. Mechanic put the old timing belt back on when he replaced the water pump 18 months ago. UGH. 93K, Spruel serviced (up to this last time), all records, always synthetic, blue with very, very good tan leather, new v-rated dunlops. I have no heart to hassle with it but this is a nice one if you can; anybody interested in making an offer or offering advice? Thanks.

Can you give me advice on the best way to get the word out that I'm selling my dad's 82 GTV 6 (balocco) which is located on Pine Island/Ft Myers. It was totally professionally restored last year and looks absolutely flawless and beautiful. It has new cl tch, rings,brakes etc... It has only about 45k miles. I'm in Michigan with an 80 fiat spider and a 60 Morgan +4, and there is no way my wife will let me add a 3rd. My dad is too elderly and needs a more sedate and boring vehicle. Its a shame and I'm sick t must leave the family. I'm not a member of AROC so I don't think I can place in add in the national mag, can I? Plus I figure I need to get the word out among the Alfisti in the Southeast. We have not set a price and any advice would be appreciated. T anks

I would like to take this moment to thank Dave Martin on his assistance to me this past week. Dave was in the midst of mid-terms and still found the time to help me resolve a broken front axle on my Alfa. The outer bearing seized and destroyed the axle. A new part was flown in from Canada and the tour continued for another 2100 miles problem free. I will make it a point to join one of your luncheon tours in the Georgia hills. I've owned this car since 1980 and put about 3000 miles a year on it.Purchased with 30000 on the odometer and currently showing 75000 mi. Repainted Porche Indian Red in 87'.All seats and carpets replaced 97'. Engine blueprinted by Hamilton Auto Service (9 5)525-2040) the most knowlegable and service orientated shop I've had the pleasure to deal with.Head was ported,polished oversized valves installed .New exhaust header.A hotter cam was put in. Spica fuel pump reconfigured to handle the new cam profile. Re ro wheels put on 99' Momo Vega 14" with Pirelli 6000. Car will down in the Atlanta area while visiting relatives. Hope to see other Alfa's while I'm in the area.

I'm interested in joining the Atlanta Alpha club and also getting more information on maintenance and parts (new/used). I bought my spider last April as my midlife crisis car. I love that car but I have a hard time keeping it from my fiance now. At the end of last year I was hit by a semi and only the drivers door and rear quarter pannel were damaged, therefore giving me the opportunity to get the entire car repainted. It looks great and I am constantly getting complements on it. I should have bought spider years ago. I am currently looking for the tail light assemlby for the drivers side (insurance wouldnt pay for one), or a way to just replace the side marker light within the assembly. Is there an Alfa junk yard anywhere around Atlanta? Also my c talitic converter is rusting out,(I put an Ansa system behind the cat') I've heard that I could go with a header and aftermarket converter for about the same price as a OEM catalitic converter. Is this true and where would I get it? I haven't seen anyth ng like this in the International Autoparts catalogue. Any information you can provide on parts would be greatly appreciated. Why don't I ever read anything positive about Milanos--it's a great car that's extremely dependable (if you have the right mechanic). And, I do. Anyone moving from Atlanta to Dallas with an Alfa should/must take their car to Basically Italian in Irving, TX.
