hatchling eastern box turtles.Eastern box turtles are, in my opinion, the most colorfull of all box turtles. With the exception of the three-toeds body color. The eastern is protected over most of its range. It ranges from Maine all the way down to the Carolinas. Its size varies between four inches to eight inches in adulthood. I once had a male eastern. From my experiences he loves to be in cool shady areas. He mostly preffers snails and worms over his vegtables.
