Who I am.
Hello and Bonjour.

My name is Michael Osman.  I am an American artist living in Paris. I have had the opportunity to live in the great city of Paris for more than ten years. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; I attended the first and oldest art school (and museum)  in the United States: The  Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. This school was founded in 1791 by painter and scientist Charles Wilson Peale.
The Academy maintains a tradition of educating the artist in the classical manner.  Part if this education is the study of the great art works in Europe.
I graduated from the Academy winning a scholarship to travel in Europe.  These annual awards of travel have been made to Academy students since 1891.  This would lead me eventually to France and Paris.
When I first moved to Paris I spent many days wandering the Louvre drawing from the sculptures in the galleries. Taking breaks from my work, I was able to study the amazing collection this huge place holds.
I've been offering tours of my adopted city for over seven years.  My knowledge of the city has grown  over the years.  My daily wanders through Paris has led me to learn so much about it's amazing history, as well as the rich culture of it's people..  I hope to pass on to visitors the things that I have grown to love about this great city, Paris, France.
