This former Beaux-Arts railway station has been stunningly renovated to display the national collection of 19th century masterworks including paintings by the Impressionist.  Impressionist works once housed in the Jeu de Paume (which now features temporary exhibits of modern artists) were moved to their new home which opened in 1989.
Touring the d'Orsay with me I can help you find your favorite Impressionists. See masterpieces by Manet, Renoir, Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others. Also,  learn more about this great and popular era of art history.

Renoir's Dancing at the Moulin de la Galette (1876)
Make an Impressionists day of it and combine a visit to the d'Orsay with a trip to
Montmartre,  the former stomping grounds of the young impressionist artists. From Renoir's innocent hilltop,  portrayed in his painting shown here, the Moulin de la Galette to a descent to the cancans of Toulouse-Lautrec's raunchier Moulin Rouge on the Boulevard de Clichy.  Visit where these men worked and played to capture the still lingering bohemian atmosphere.
