The Louvre is said to be the largest museum in the world.  Under the Grande Louvre project of the 1980's and 90's, it's exhibition space doubled.  With it's renovations came the addition of the controversial I.M.Pei glass pyramid entrance and superb glass covered courtyards displaying French sculpture.
With me as your guide, don't feel overwelmed by the size of the Louvre.  Where is the entrance? Where do you buy your tickets? I can help you find it all.  Spend as much or as little time exploring this vast collection of art.
I will help you see all the greatest hits in this amazing museum without looking at the confusing map.
Caravaggios, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, and the Venus de Milo with me as your guide.
"I want to be a true classicist, to become classical again through nature, through feeling.  Before my ideas were comfused.  Life! Life! This was the only word I could utter.  I wanted to burn down the Louvre, poor cretin that I was!  You  have to go to the Louvre through mature, and return to nature through the Louvre." Paul Cezanne, quoted by Joachim Gasquet.
