The 1980 442 was a continuation of the 1979 H/O except for the main differences of front end, lack of dual gate shifter and a 3 spoke steering wheel instead of the H/Os 2 spoke wheel.

The 350 powered W30 shouldn't really have been built. There where no other 350 "G"bodies built by GM in 1980 but Olds used a rule that allowed a limited run of the 350 in this model based on the emissions testing already performed in the 88 and 98 models. If they had made this model in unlimited numbers they would've had to spend the money to certify the engine in the G body.

This presents a problem when looking up parts or specifications, most parts suppliers and service manuals say this car does not exist.
