The Gutter Gate Command are proud to unveil their latest addition:

When Captain Kay returned to active duty after having been missing in action for a while, we expected that she would take her time and settle in gradually. Not our Captain Kay! Being the keen hockey fan that she is (and being as how she's Canadian and all), she instantly figured out what was missing from the Gutter - a hockey rink!
However, she was smart enough to realise that General Spadershanks and I wouldn't allow her to build a very expensive hobby ice rink just for hockey games, so she incorporated function rooms into the plan, figuring she could sell this as another party venue. Guess what? She could!
So, after months of hard work - and judicious use of that army of construction clones Aby ordered when she was building the beach house - Kay was finally ready to take the General and I on a tour of inspection. Step this way to accompany us on that first walkthrough!
We were very impressed - this is going to be a great place for parties, and just to prove it, we held the New Year's Eve bash here as an opening event. Unfortunately, the photographer Danny-clone got pushed into one of the foyer fountains by a frisky Captain Panth (it wasn't her fault - Kawalsky was chasing her at the time!) and the camera was irretrievably fried! Take it from me though - a great time was had by all!
But we have to remember that Captain Kay did set this up as a working hockey rink, and for that she needed hockey teams. Now this is not something I am at all familiar with, so I'll let Captain Kay explain it to you all.

Each GGC member assigned to the teams is responsible for making up a team slogan, and a mascot/theme song if they want. All these must be presented to me to pass on to everyone before the official season starts. Then they can be added to the team portfolio. Oh, and the teams can be changed with approval. For example, if we get a new member to the group who really wants to be on a team, we can either make up a new team or replace somebody on a team who really doesnt want to be there. Its flexible.
"How often will the games take place?"
Im hoping to have official games on a bi-weekly basis, having the teams compete against each other and whoever wins moves on. Then one team will win over all. I think the GGC should get together for a party every time a tournament is done to celebrate that team. After we have a winner, all teams are back in and it starts all over again with each team playing a different one than they did before. That way everyone gets to play everyone, no matter if they win or loose.
Thanks Captain Kay!! Everything is as clear as crystal - except for one thing. How am I supposed to be a part of the JaffaSlaves when I can't skate? Any takers for my spot?
Okay everyone - get cracking on your team slogans and mascots - post them to Captain kay via the mailing list. Not a member of the mailing list? Head on over to the Communications Centre to sign up!
I want to be a part of the Ice Palace Gutter Hockey League - take me to the Communications Centre!
Oh, one more thing before you head back to the facility entrance. In recognition of Captain Kay's excellent work on this, her first ever written project for Gutter Gate Command, I've prepared a little surprise for her.

Okay folks, that's it - show's over. Move along, nothing to see here. (I've always wanted to say that!!)
Actually, there's lots to see here - so feel free to head on back to the Ice palace for a drink or to watch the teams practice, or head back to the base and see what other fun is there to be had!
