| As Long as there's a Moon What would have been: This was the second song written for the scene after Esmeralda saves Quasi and Phoebus from the gallows. Taking another element from the original book where a gypsy woman could save an intruder's life if she married him, this song would have been a gypsy wedding cermony for Esmeralda and Phoebus. Like In a Place of Miracles, the filmmakers really liked the song, but it was decided that it slowed down the story. What I think: I'm kinda in agreement that a full-fledged wedding ceremony would kind of slow the story. But, I don't think they should've ditched the song! No, if they had made a GOOD HoND sequel and showed us Esmeralda and Phoebus's wedding, the song would have worked beautifully! All they'd need to do is change some of the lyrics!
